What are my options for a current ok-decent graphics card?

Here's my computer spec, quite old and is in need of an overhaul really, but oh well.

AMD Phenom II X6 1055t Thuban 2.8ghz (just ordered it) otherwise it's AMD Phenom II X4 atm
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P
8 GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4850 (my ol' faithful)
Windows 7
Corsair 670W

I'm actually eyeing at EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti

But not really sure if, my computer can handle it or would it be worth it with my somewhat old motherboard.

I've forgot to mention my budget range would probably be around $160 as doable

For $10 more I would definitely get the R7 265 as it does have a considerable edge over the 750ti

For a budget around 160 you might want to also look at an R9 270
http://

Very good card and can handle most games at high/ultra settings at 1080p

Thats why i suggested it. Mainly due to your build being AMD. It is a great mid range card though and should integrate fairly well with your current setup. Check some reviews...

I did some price checking and it looks like the R7 265 is $10 more than the GTX 750TI. Does it matter that much for my rig to use the R7 over the other one ? I'm not up to date with the PC tech. So wouldn't know

Aha, after I looked into a review comparing these 2 graphic cards it seems the R7 is better for gaming without overclocking, but eats more energy, whereas the other eats less energy, cooler, not as good for gaming. Ok I'm sold.
