Hey guys

Recently I decided to upgrade the video card in my current PC.
This means I'm using all the components from my current PC but I'm adding a new GPU, PSU, Fan controller and I'm putting it all in a new case.
I already did a lot of research but I just want to make sure that there are no bottlenecks or anything that might not work at all.

Anyways, I'll be coloring the text with the parts to make the reading easier.
The Green components will be the components I'm going to buy.
The text without a color will be the parts I already have in my current PC.

CPU: Intel Core i5-2320 @ 3.00GHz
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB With Boost
(My current card is the Radeon HD 7570)
RAM: 4GB DDR3 RAM
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
CASE: Zalman Z11 Plus
(My current case is a stock medion OEM case)
MOTHERBOARD: MS-7728 (Micro-ATX)
PSU: XFX PRO550W
(I currently have a FSP350-60EMDN 350w)
HDD1: Western Digital WD5000AZRX 500GB
HDD2: STM3250820AS 250GB
DISC DRIVE: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-216AB SCSI CdRom Device
CPU COOLER: A stock Intel cooler
FANS (BUILT INTO THE CASE): Front: 120mm Blue LED Fan, Top: 120mm Blue LED Fan, Rear: 120mm Fan, Side: 2x 80mm Fan.
(2 Fans are connected to the PSU with molex cables and 3 have fan cables for the controller)
FAN CONTROLLER: Deepcool Rock Master V3.0
(I don't have any connectors for the case fans in my Motherboard so I'm going to use a fan controller.)

If any more information is needed I'll provide it as fast as possible!
So the question is, Is this a good built without any bottlenecks or things that just don't work together?
Thanks in advance!

- Yannick

It's good to have, but 4GB will do fine in most games as long as the only program you have open when gaming is the game itself. You could have maybe one or two programs open with the game, but check the ram usage to see whether or not you can. If having 8GB of ram gets in way of the GPU upgrade, wait to upgrade it.

For the GPU I'd suggest looking at the R9 280 series since they are essentially the same card, but a bit faster, and they are also cheaper than the 7950.

ram is very important for gaming since most games are now demanding a minimum of 6gb ram like watchdogs

The R9 280 is around €200 in my area and I'm getting the 7950 for €170 so I'm probably going to stick to the 7950.
For the RAM, I usually have Skype open while playing games and I haven't had any problems with it so far so I should be good :)

Even though it says you need 6GB ram at a minimum, the game actually plays fine on 4GB.

Ah well in that case stick with the 7950.

Yea one program in the background can't hurt much, you should be fine.
