The first step is admitting you have a problem, right?

So I have a budget of say... < $1000 and I spend 6+ Hours a day playing games online with friends and such. (WildStar and Starcraft II Mainly) And I have come to the conclusion that I need an upgrade. The current computer I have was built using the Dell PC-Builder (let's face it, I don't have the patience required to put together a PC myself, even with the right parts) and I built this computer for around $900.

The current computer:
PSU: 460W
CPU: i7 - 3770 @ 3.40GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7570 (This is the killer right here, I had an awesome Nvidia card beforehand, but the computer from Dell only has a single slot, and the old Nvidia Card required a Dual since the fan was so large)
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
RAM: 8GB

I know this doesn't give much of a look at what I have, but it is a Dell XPS 8500.

I'm trying to see if anyone has some feedback about what I should do in order to upgrade to a whole new computer, or any recommendations on part replacement. (Mainly that terrible terrible GPU) And if I do upgrade to a whole NEW computer, it would be highly recommended that I could get something purchased with a monthly installment system. (The Monthly payments and the fact they put the computer together for me is why I chose Dell to do this in the first place) Paying for college can put a hamper on any big purchases up front.

I've been a "lurker" for a while and the community here seems awesome and willing to help in a generally professional manner, but I can understand resentment for a "Newbie" to the forums.

Thanks in advance for taking a look or making any adjustments/suggestions.

Even though your CPU is 3rd gen, you shoudln't need to change that. You really need to upgrade your GPU. For that you will need a new case so that you have enough PCI expansion slots. Also, PSU's included in prebuilt cheaper computers are usually terrible. You will probably need to get a decent 80+ PSU that supplies 500W or more.

With a budget of $1000, you can get these parts. You don't even have to spend quite as much as you are willing to.
