Hello,

So I moved across the country and asked my parents to ship my computer. I told them to take the components out, and wrap them in anti-static bags. Naturally they put the whole tower in a box surrounded by styrofoam. So now I'm trying to find out what's broken and what's not.

When I power up case fans and cpu fan starts spinning. I can hear the hard drive spinning as well. DRAM LED comes on and there are not "boot beeps", if you will. Nothing displays on monitor—cannot get to bios. First I tried pulling all the ram out which of course lead to the mobo beeping incessantly. Currently I'm going through each ram slot with one stick, then another, to see if even on stick works.

I know it's not the power supply as I just got a new one. I haven't tried taking the videocard out yet, but it's on my to-do list.

I do not have spare components to test with (other than psu) and have no friends with components to use. I cannot afford to have some j/o at a repair shop tell me what's wrong. I cannot afford to buy parts until the issue is solved.

Thank you for any help!

System specs:
Asus M4A87TD
AMD Phantom ii black (3.4gz I think?)
2x Gseries 4gb ddr3 1333mhz
2x Kingston 2gb ddr3
Radeon HD6950

Would the video card cause the DRAM LED to light up tho? I just took the video card out and put it back it, made sure it was securely in, no change in boot.
