Hey :D !
ok so as the title says im gonna add an extra fan so i make sure the pc doesnt heat alot mostly i wont need it i guess but anyway im using this case Arctic Cooling Silentium T11
and its system is 1 intake in front 1 exhaust at rear and cpu and psu(550W if it matters)
so im gonna add a side Corsair Air Series AF120 intake , would that make any problem or that's the good way for it to be .
Any help would be appreciated .
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Your current fan setup sounds fine, i have the exact same setup in my Coolermaster 310 case & it works perfectly. A side fan would be most beneficial if your having heat problems with your graphics card or just want to cool it better. It won't ruin your airflow or anything.

You convinced me pretty well you could add a side fan :p

But looking at the official site & a review on Kitguru, the case only has space for 2x fans, which are already installed. And, if you look at this snippet from the review & the diagram on the Arctic site for this case, both fans are set as intake fans. IMO, i would make the rear fan an exhaust.

After recovering from the trauma of almost destroying the air hood we had a closer look around the interior of the case. There are only two populated fan vents in the case which are located at the front and rear. Both of these vents are populated by 120mm Arctic Cooling P12 fans and act as intakes. Even though there is no roof fan, the top mounted PSU will help to exhaust hot air from the case in conjunction with the side panel vents.

i guess the company that built my custom pc , had set the rear one exhaust .. since when i put my hand behind my pc where the rear fan is located i feel air going outside , that means its exhaust, i guess right ?

As long as it's the case fan your feeling the air coming from, and not the PSU right above it, it should be that way.

ya im sure its the fan , but well you made me notice that psu one aint actually making that much of effect as an exhaust its not close to half of the fan under it ( im talking about the air getting out , dunno if psu got other way of dealing with hotair but pushing it outside he aint really doing much
and btw the best i could do if i needed to upgrade my cooling in the future would be to change the front and rear fans to better ones would that really help its like im using atm less than 30$ ones if i change them in future for like 60$ ea would that be noticeable difference ya i know price aint always the best quality but lets say i double the quality would that double cooling performance .
thanks alot for you help though :D im way off topic now

Yes, the quality of the fans can help. I swapped mine out with a pair of Scythe Gentle Typhoon's. TBH Arctic are a good brand for fans, and the F12 TC's you have in that case are pretty good compared to the generic ones i had in my case.

If you want to consider it, Noctua , Yate Loon, Sharkoon & Noiseblocker (e-loops) are names iv'e seen recommended recently.
