I am trying to run the game minecraft on my Dell Optiplex 330 machine. I used to be able to run the older 1.6.4Beta version about 18 months ago without any problems. Since then I've increased my RAM and installed windows 8.1 (previously it was winXP).
I tried launching the newest version of minecraft today, only to get an error. I then launched previous releases (there's an option to do this on minecraft). No luck. Here is a copy of the error report:
