There's not many brands to pick here from India, and I've narrowed down my search to the following two graphic tablets:

1. http://www.amazon.in/Wacom-Intuos-Graphic-Tablet-CTH-480/dp/B00F619A6I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1402767661&sr=8-2&keywords=wacom+intuos

2. http://www.amazon.in/Wacom-Intuos-Creative-CTH-480-S1-C/dp/B00FRDWXKU/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1402767642&sr=8-13&keywords=wacom

Both of them come with 4 softwares bundled together with it. What I was wondering was if it'd work only with the 4 softwares provided along with it or general, most softwares like Photoshop, Illustrator and CorelDraw available in the market?

No problem. I have older model Wacom Bamboo Pen and it works without problem also with GIMP and Inkscape which I use. Do not have Photoshop or Illustrator.

The Wacom tablet works both in Windows and also in Kubuntu linux. So no problem there :)
