So I was browsing through some comparable Intel CPU's, and I noticed something od. Why are these two processors basically the same price, when one is an i3 and one is an i7? Not to mention they're both still extremely cheap as far as intel CPUs go? Is there a sale I wasn't aware of, or is this the oldest i7 known to man?

Both processors are actually first generation Core I-series chips. They are 3-4 years old now. The most recent Core I-series processors are fourth generation chips, and are faster.

Unless you already have a motherboard for one of those 2 chips, I'd look for something newer.
