Hi, I have a dell precision t3600 with xeon e5-1620 3.6ghz, 8gb ram and just got a gtx 770 gpu, I have weird fps/lag spikes on tera and especially on camera movement, in the velika town I get 30 fps, on fields its random.
weird, I have semi max preset, I was told that I could run it at max with a previous version gpu so I just got the semi final gaming version of gtx. so... what do I have to do or what I dont do right?

ps: internet connection 25mbs.

I play Tera, so I know your situation. Tera's encoding is badly optimized, so regardless of your GPU, the fps wont be stable, it requires the highest CPU speed possible to have "some" stability. Even with a Titan I think, you could have high fps by the first half hour of gameplay, but after that it would start decreasing.

so in other words all players have this and its the developer's fault.
my cpu is for servers, which means that it beats all games now, 8 cores on 3.6ghz is massive for this era of games.

Sadly yes, it's the developers fault that the code of the game can't be optimized for several CPU/GPU. Tera makes use of only 2 cores, which have to be strong. There are areas that are commonly crowded like Velika, where is reasonable to have low fps rates, but there are also open world zones with low player populations like Ostgarath (CT Harbor/Castanica) where fps are low as well. Depending on your build, you could have 100 fps in one spot and an average of 30 in another.

generally speaking I dont have a home pc but a server corporate pc which is from 5 cores of i7 to 8 cores of xeon with the same ghz, which means I am more than fully copable to play even black desert which is optimized on the current generation of pc builds.
in other words its too strange that it lags, geforce experience makes me in the fields go from 60 fps to 130 fps. avg.

is there a way to make the game run on almost all cores besides the system used core?

Not that I know of, there are some tweaks for it involving messing with the .ini files but, not that it worked for me.

thing is that you have to have the hardware in order to do that, I have 8 cores, and one of the best gpus for gaming, it seems quite unfair for me to not be able to play those semi-medium end games because more demanding games coming soon like black desert online which is my aim.

Tera is not THAT demanding but the coding isnt good, so you cant get the most from the hardware you have.
Black Desert in the other hand, its demanding but seems to have a good coding that allows to have a good optimization with hardware, so you shouldnt worry about that one if it hits the west.

It is good, absolutly better than what you used to have, just dont use tera to test the performance of your rig, because of all I mentioned about the optimization and whatnot.

I get it, so tera is just a bad game for any hardware even the titan one, one from the community said they ran it at 80 fps always, with no lag because they had gaming pc but my pc has more specs than a common game pc like alienwares. Weird...
