Hi guys,

I have recently bought a PC.
This is my spec:
Case CORSAIR GRAPHITE SERIES™ 600T WHITE MID-TOWER CASE
Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™i7 Six Core Processor Extreme i7-4960X (3.6GHz) 15MB Cache
Motherboard ASUS® RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION: INTEL X79, SOCKET 2011, R.O.G
Memory (RAM) 32GB KINGSTON HYPER-X FURY DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (8 x 8GB)
Graphics Card 3GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 780 Ti - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready
2nd Graphics Card 3GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 780 Ti - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready
1st Hard Disk 1TB Samsung 840 EVO SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (upto 540MB/sR | 520MB/sW)
2nd Hard Disk 4TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD4003FZEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
Power Supply CORSAIR 1200W PRO SERIES™ PLATINUM AX1200i DIGITAL MODULAR PSU
Processor Cooling Corsair H100i Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler

I have looked around the web and I have seen that the max temp the cpu should get to is 66.8 degrees C. I quite often see my cpu hitting 60 degrees when gaming. I am paranoid that it will eventually hit that 66.8 mark. Should I be worried? Or am I just being paranoid?

No, I don't know how to apply thermal paste. But I only got the system 3 weeks ago, so I assume I won't need to do that soon?

No, you shouldnt need to until you start experiencing problems or start hitting 75c-80c.

60°C is the common CPU temp for intense gaming or heavy loads tasks, as for the thermal paste, just a "rice grain" in the mid of the cpu lid is enough, since the pressure of the heatsink will spread the rest. Anything more or less wont give enough heat transfer.

Did u buy this system ready built or do it yourself? If ready built, thermal paste is done - it's applied t go CPU before t cooler. T h00i comes wit if pre-applied tho so actually u don't hav t do anything wit thermal paste
