Hi

i've been doing alot of research for my build and i was wondering if i should get the gigabyte
gtx 770 4gb windforce
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gv...

or the
r9 290
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gv...

which one would be better i plan on playing games on high to ultra settings with games like watch dogs, crysis 3, far cry 3, assassins creed, cod, battlefield 3/4 and other games like that.

the rest of my build includes

case; corsair 650D
PSU; corsair RM seiries 650W 80 plus gold
motherboard; Asrock extreme 6 z77
CPU intel core 15 3570K
cooler; cool master hyper 212 EVO
network adapter; TP-Link TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter
ssd; 2x SanDisk SDSSDHP-128G-G25 128 GB Ultra Plus
graphics card; Gigabyte GV-R929OC-4GD Radeon R9 290 4gb
Gigabyte GTX770 Nvidia Graphics Card PCI-e / 4GB GDDR5 Memory / DVI / 1 GPU

monitor; AOC i2269Vwm Value 21.5 inch IPS Monitor (1000:1, 250 cd/m2, 1920x1080, 6ms, HDMI/MHL)

im all so debating to change the monitor so i can run at a higher resolution too.

thanks in advance

r9 290 is equal or similar to gtx 780 so gtx 770 is older card and i cannot compare both of the mentioned cards. get r9 290 because it's newer model.

ive done alot of research on that an allthough its more powerful it runs alot hotter and is aparently very noisy how can i go about cooling the graphics card down and reducing the noise? thats my biggest concern or will the 212 EVO be enough?

If you are going for that budget, then it is better to buy gtx 780,it cost about the same, and it is better, also it has better cooler, and it is not so loud and hot.

290 is better in performance since it's equal to the 780, but aswell the 290 runs alot hotter. So if you plan on ocing go with the 770 and if you don't plan or use high res as 4k just go with the 2gb model it's fine for now :) .

Im debating between the 770 or the 780 i got the 770 4GB because im thinking of maybe going for a higher res than 1080p and im using two monitors.
