So.. my motherboard got 1 cable that is like an extension for the CPU cable of the PSU, So 1 of the ends is with 8 pins (where i connect the cable from the PSU) and the other one is with 8+ 4 pins. SO i know where to put the 8 pin end (in the cpu slot on the motherboard) but that 4 pin is just hanging there, is that a problem? Also my mobo has 2 types of sata cables , 1st one is with straight + right-angle side and the other type is with 2 straight ends. Can I use the 2nd one only? And also, can I use 1 sata power cable to connect both ssd and hdd (the cable has 3 ends so I can probably connect 3 hdd/ssd with only 1 cable, right?)??
sry for the wall of text..

the 8 pins alone go in the psu for cpu the other end goes to the mother board fro the board that use a 4 or 8 and even a 4+8 pins cpu connector, for the sata use the oe with the right angle for the ssd and hdd yes could use one power cable if it have 2 output for the drive but since this is a power full and modular psu i would use i cable for each of them .

The extra 4 pin is likely for motherboards that have an extra P4 12V connector. My Asrock OC Formula has the two 4 pin connectors and another 4 pin, this is for CPU power. The extra 4 pin is for extra CPU power for overclocking, I run with just the two P4 connected. It is just an option on higher end boards, I can OC fine with just two connected. Some motherboards now have two 8 pins for CPU power, just for overclocking stability.
So the 4 pin hanging there is just fine.
You can use the SATA connectors in any fashion you choose. So yes, 2 on the one cable and one on the other is just fine.

There are motherboards that require 8 pin cables for the CPU power supply, and some that only need 4, so having it hanging in there shouldnt be an issue. As for the sata cables, having flat ends, or angled ones is just a matter of comfort for the user, usually the angled end goes plugged to the drive and the flat to the mobo, for a matter of clerance with the sata ports. Yes, you can use a single sata power cable to plug up to 3 drives, that is why it has 3 slots.
