sorry for not getting back to you but I just decided to revert to the parts I was using before which took a few hours of fiddling with screws etc. works fine for now so I know it's not my hard drive, OS, GPU, RAM, or anything, it can only be some kind of issue involving my new MOBO (ASrock Z87 Pro 4) my new PSU (corsair builder series 600w) and my new cpu (i3 4130). Q1: no it's not overclocked. Q2: PSU above and GPU is a Geforce GTX 760. I don't think it can be a memory issue because both sticks show up in CPU-Z and I'm currently using the OS sooo, it can't be that... It's really weird I can't explain it. Just when I install the new stuff and boot my PC it goes into system repair. I've tried fiddling around in the bios, installing the drivers, changing boot config etc. but no dice. I have no other ideas...

Sounds like a conflict with drivers, since you say that when you install "new" stuff it causes conflicts. I can only think of a fresh reinstallation of the OS to solve the issues. Could help to know what have you been installing.
