Hey everyone

I'm deciding to upgrade my GPU ( A very Trusty AMD HD 7850 ) in a month or two , and well I don't have allot of dosh ( R3500.00 South African Rand , Or +- $330 Us dollar) Items in SA are a tad overpriced so yeah.

to the point I have done some research on cards but I can't decide which Brand ( AMD or Nvidia) or which card to select from.

as research goes it's down to the following cards have high opinion amongst people

Radeon R9 280X and the
Geforce GTX 780 ti(which is fairly out of my price range)

Any advice and help would be very appreciated , also it doesn't need to be 1vs1 the cards , please recommend other cards that I probably overlooked which I could benefit from.

Thanks in advance !

When it comes down to the cards you have selected:
1. 780 Ti is too overpriced....
2. It is overpriced and it is a little better that the r9 280x in frames per millisecond and pixel rate

But if we are going to choose by your budget i would go with the r9, i dont really think that you would spot a difference between those two :)

Hey thanks very much ^^, In Terms Of PSU power , My old one died and I bought a very shiny Corsair VS650 , would that be sufficient for the R9 280X ?

PC specs atm:

i5 2500K
8GB RAM
MSI PH61A-P35 Motherboard
MSI R7850 HD 2GB GPU

Well i did some research and looks like the Corsair 650W will be just fine for the R9 :)
