I am looking to build my own PC from scratch and I basically created one online. I got all of these parts that I felt were good and around my budget range. I want to play PC games at maximum settings at all times. I would like to know if these parts will all build together okay. I built this on PC Part Picker. Also would like to know if I need a network adapter being wired or wireless because I have no idea. Thanks

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... MSI Z97S SLI Plus $139

the MPOWER is a little more mobo than most people can handle and you should have a z97 for that price range. i recommend you put the extra money into a better video card unless you want to get a liquid cooler and really push it to the max.

Hi You are planning a Z87 Motherboard. That si fine if you want to over clock, meaning you will need an unlocked processor. Go for the i5 4670k. The Power supply is overkill. Go with a no more than 750w Seasonic full Modular which wil save you some money. You can also look at XFX, Corsair, PC Power & Cooling, Silverstone to name a few reliable brands. You may want to add an Hdd, unless you already have one, for storage.

If your main priority is gaming, drop the cpu to a non 'K' i5.

Do you think the graphics card I have is not good enough? It's one of the top ten in 2014, but okay, also should i really drop to an i5? I thought i7 was better no? What does it mean to overclock? Becuase I read in some forums before that it is not so great to overclock

K models are unlocked for overclocking but if you do not want to overclock Intel has a great upgrade path.

z97's are the latest Intel enthusiast level motherboards with lga socket 1150.

If you want to stay up on all the latest technology you should get a i5 now and save for the new skylake (14nm) systems coming out next year. you should get a i7 now if just want your system to remain good for several years with all the latest games.

skylake will have a new cpu socket and chipset with ddr4 so there will be new motherboards to support.
