Hello, I just connected my HTPC in my living room with my router using a powerline ethernet kit (Trendnet Powerline 500 AV2 kit which consist of two TPL-408EK2 adapter). I also have a turntable in my living room (on the same electric circuit) which is a Technics SL-D2.

The problem is that each time there is transfer on my powerline network, I can hear a loud static noise in my home theater speakers if I'm listening to a LP. This is not a hum like sound. If I'm using the home theater for something else , like listening to TV, the noise is not preset. It's like my TT power supply is capturing interferences from the powerline network and adding it to my music. Anyone had similar problems? Any suggest how to fix it?

Thanks

Try plugging the turntable into a surge protector. These tend to block the powerline signals. You could also use a extension cord to plug the turntable into a different outlet elsewhere in the house to verify that it is receiving the signals thought the power cord and not receiving them via one of the other cable though the air.
