Hi all,
I am currently in the market for a Mic, a decent one may I add, and I have come to the conclusion of getting a Audio-Technica Cardioid Condenser USB Microphone http://www.amazon.co.uk/Audio-Technica-Cardioid-Condenser-USB-Microphone/dp/B001AS6OYC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1402792884&sr=8-2&keywords=at+2020. I also found this one AUDIO TECHNICA AT2020USB+ Usb and for Ipad and Iphone http://www.amazon.co.uk/AUDIO-TECHNICA-AT2020USB-Ipad-Iphone/dp/B00B5ZX9FM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1402792884&sr=8-3&keywords=at+2020

I was wandering whats the difference between them? Like is one only for Ipads and Iphones??

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank You

that depends on how you record and your own personal preferences.

having your voice run through your headphones at the same time as game sounds can cut out some of the game noises so you cannot hear them as well, however, it also allows you to monitor the volume of your own voice. if you start to speak too loud it will boom in your own ears making you watch your volume.

the well known commentator markiplier used to get a little loud since he was always trying to hear himself over the game (he did not use the jack) but later in a video he was using the jack to hear his own voice and he said it helped tremendously in keeping his volume down. he had a few complaints from neighbors about his voice (he installed soundproofing to his walls...
at2020usb = no headphone jack, the only way to hear your own voice in your headphones is to use software which has a slight lag delay
at2020usbplus = headphone jack so that you can plug headphones in and hear your own voice in the headphones as you speak

if you are not sure what you will want to do... i would suggest the plus model so that you have the option.

a bit off key... but another microphone worth looking at is the blue yeti. its a bit cheaper with more options. (personally if i bought a mic i would likely get the AT though since i like audiotechnica gear.

Okay so I think I will go for the AT 2020 Plus. I have looked at the Yeti and do like it but like you I also love the Audio Technica Gear. Thank you for taking time to help me out with this, I really appreciate it. You have been a massive help
