When I first built my computer, the storage was an afterthought, so I bought a $40 hard drive SATA II 250 GB, so in short it was terrible. I want to upgrade my computer, so I decided that the hard drive was my biggest setback. Lucky for me, I don't use a lot of storage, so I don't have to spend as much, so I am going to get a Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SSD. Now, my problem is that I have no idea how to transfer my whole operating system and all its programs and settings to a new drive. It's easy to transfer regular files, but I don't feel comfortable transferring my whole "computer". I would like to know the easiest way to basically copy everything on my hard drive to a SSD, or if its even possible.

Thanks in advance for your help and consideration

Oh, I thought it would be more complex than that. I'll pick the answer when I do it
