If i understood the manual i would not be posting here but i dont recognize which cable is used for what the manual just tells me in generally that the x cable plugs into here but i got no clue what the x cable is or what it looks like and i have also checked online for some time. I dont recognize which cable is which.

I suppose what i need help with is plugging in which power supply cable goes where?

Your m5a97 r2 2.0 is not a valid model number.

The M5A97 R2.0 needs
1 x 24-pin EATX Power connector
1 x 8-pin ATX 12V Power connector

You might get a better answer if you list your power supply make and model, and also the PC case make and model. Hard drives and optical drives use a a data and a power cable.

My power supply is a Kentex KTPS-750. When i turn on the computer nothing happens cept a green light goes on. No fans or sounds or beeps. Also this is the same power supply i was using 2 hours prior to setting up the new motherboard and it always worked just fine.

I dont really know where the front panel power switch goes either could be as simple as that but idk really.
