So I've been mulling over this idea I had while packing my shitty laptop to bring to a friend's house. The idea was why not just mount my monitor to my desktop? So after a little brain storming i think the best way for me to approach this idea if i so choose would be to use Velcro to mount the monitor (which has built in speakers) to my back side panel (my front side panel has a window and will need to be accesses for maintenance which is why I chose the back panel). I will then route an extension chord with two outputs and a surge protector into my case where I will plug in my power supply and the monitor, the cables for the PSU and monitor cables will both be routed through holes in either the back, top, or bottom of the case. I would also add some Velcro to the top of my case and the bottom of my (preferably wireless) keyboard and mount it there for easy transport. my mouse would be plugged in as usual as it easily fits in any bag and I use it for other devices. Then you could power the whole system with the extension chord leading out the case.
