I don't know what else to call it other than a "bios boot loop". I'm sure there's a technical term I'm unaware of that describes it better.

Just finished installing all software / drivers etc on my new machine. Consists of Maximus VI Formula, i7-4770k, 16gb Trident X, Samsung Pro SSD (Raid 0), GTX 780ti Superclocked & Windows 8.1 Pro.

With that said … I ran an initial "stock" bench test with Realbench. Everything was fine. I reboot into bios, change the Overclocking Presets to "Load Gamer's OC Profile" and hit save and exit. I planned to do some testing before attempting anything further (baby steps, you know!). Well instead of booting into windows, it just keeps taking me back to the bios!! Even if I load optimized defaults and hit the reset button on the motherboard, it is not letting me back into windows.

I am very new at overclocking, so I really could use some help here. Not sure what to do at this point. No errors were ever given to make me believe something was wrong either.

Solution
Use the clear CMOS jumper on your mobo, if you don't have that one, toss out the BIOS battery for a few minutes then put it back in again. Of course you will have to load optimized defaults in the BIOS once you do that.

And stop poking around the settings without further knowledge of what you are doing before it all goes BOOM!
