Can i use i5 3570k on my
asus P8H 61-M LX3 R2.0 motherboard..........and can i overclock it ...

Yes, it is compatible and you can't overclock . Your mobo doesn't support that

Yes, the board supports the Core i5-3570K even without a BIOS update. However, it does not allow overclocking.

your mobo has h61 chipset and for overclocking you need an z series chipset. you have a very respectable cpu with one of the most entry level mobo. you wont be able to overclock it.

if you want to run the i5 in its full(well almost) potential then get a minimum mobo like this one Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H.this has some headroom for overclocking.if you want to do some serious overclocking then get something like this ASRock Z77 Pro3 and a cpu cooler like Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or even better Noctua NH-U14S and then you can realize your i5's max potential.
