i rarely have a problem i cannot solve myself.. But this one i seem not be able to crack.
I'll give as much ( maybe too much )info as i can :p

Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 LGA1155
Core i7-3770k @ 3,5Ghz
8GB Ripjaws Gaming DDR3 @ 1600Mhz (have not gotten my comp to run past post at 2133 even if it should, i have tried rdy XMP profiles, & manual voltages & timings.)
Radeon HD 4870

i am using HDD raid group up as following:
-Windows on SSD raid volume 1
-using SSD raid volume 2 to cache / speed up my HDD1
-other software / storage on HDD1

All started while i was updating my windows, and i dowloaded update on my onboard HD4000 drivers at same, alltho i am not using the onboard graphics.

This caused apparently conflict between ATI Cataclysm drivers of my GPU and the new installed ones for my HD4000 onboard graphics, resulting on kdbsync.exe error on windows start up..

After searching, i decided to fix the problem by
1) reinstalling the ones for my HD4800 card.
this caused the BSOD, and after that system booted normally. WITh the error still :D

2) removing all graphics drivers, and installing only the ones for my HD4800
While i tried to remove ati cata drivers, again BSOD, but not booting anymore.

Now i am stuck in bios splash screen, not entering to bios options or any other option neither. the computer still powers down after few secs if i press power button.

I have tried:
1) clearing cmos by pins, (20secs)
2) clearing cmos by battery (1 hour)
3) removing everything that is not necessary, aka only leaving cpu, heatsink, fans, and 1 stick of ram.
4) i have tried to move ram in other slots too.

Things i have considered:
mobo needed back then a bios update to support Ivy bridge cpus, so maybe tehre is failure and it needs new flashing?
then again, i wonder if i can Qflash my the mobo while bios is stuck, and i don't have any sandy bridge cpu to use :(

Update as next morning: i was hoping the problem to go away by itself, but still having the issue :(

tried other gpu & w/o gpu & with other PSU, no change.
tried removing / inspecting cpu and putting it back, no change.

yes, when i try to start up my comp, it just completely freezes on 1st bios image, not allowing to go in to bios setting, post screen, nor Qflash. aka doing anything.

So u agree with me and i have limited the cause to mobo?

Yeah nothing else can cause this...
