Missing data on a SSD

I have 70GB unaccounted data missing on my 250GB EVO SSD. Have tried numerous disk clean ups but it doesn't free up/ bring back this data....also erased any `Old windows` data as well. Any help would be appreciated .

Solution
Also, a "250GB" drive is not 250GB of actual space.

Probably 232GB.
250 - 70 = 180
232 - 180 = 52GB theoretical missing space, not 70GB

You likely have a large amount of data taken up by window's hibernation file. If you don't make your computer hibernate i would suggest deleting it.

Also make sure when you disk clean up you remove click "cleanup system files" and remove any unneeded restore points

yeah i know. but out of 250GB there is 232GB usable after install OS Win7. Properties says i have 89.2GB used...but in reality only have about 50GB+- actually stored on the SSD? Does that sound right?

So:
89.2GB used. What specifically is telling you this?
50+GB is what yo think it should be.

Leaving a 39GB disparity. That could easily be the pagefile and hibernation file, and other stuff you don't see. How much RAM do you have installed?

I have 8GB Kingston RAM ( 2x4)....matched pairs if that makes sense. im just reading the numbers and they dont add up. i read it as missing data. the `pagefile` hibernationfile` can i delete them? will that help?
Eventually i`ll get a bigger main SSD drive as this is filling up too quickly ;)

On a drive advertised at 250GB, 232GB is the starting point, not after the OS is installed.

Just like my 128GB drive. It actually starts out at 119GB. Or 110GB, depending on what specific window is telling you that....:D
