Hi,
I am going to order the parts of my custom build PC. However, the only version of Windows 7 Home Premium on Amazon is the OEM version, and it states that there is no help from Microsoft. This worries me a little. I have never installed a OS, so I am scared. How do I install Windows 7 OEM? Can someone guide me step by step or find me a guide to help me? Any help would be great!

Once you put your system together and turn it on, you put the disc in the tray and the setup process will guide you through what to do. Microsoft will not really provide much help either way, and if you have any issues installing the operating system or anything else, then you can always ask at this site. Also, if you are looking at Windows 7 Home Premium, don't forget that there are RAM limits depending on the exact operating system you choose. Take a look at this website to help make sure your chosen operating system works for what you want with your system.

Ok, so on Home Premium it says 16 GB, which I believe is RAM. I only have 8 GB of RAM, so I think I am good. Thanks for the answer! It helped a lot!

If you fail to install, you don't lose your key immediatley. Installing Windows 7 is easy.
1. insert disk to pc
2. assuming you don't have any os, press any key to boot to cd
3. click install now
4. select the harddrive where you want to install windows
5. click install
6. wait
7. type in a username and password
8. done
