I'm thinking of upgrading my current processor AMD FX 4130 to this one: AMD FX 8320. I'm on a budget (and cheap) and wondering if I'd be able to use the stock cooler for the 8320 and keep it at safe temps. Thanks for help and advice!

Solution
As the two CPUs are on the same socket it will work fine, however the stock coolers from AMD aren't very good. If you can afford it, get a cheap after market cooler.

If you are worried about noise then you'd also have problem, the reason: The FX - 8320 will be at safe temps depending on the cooling system of the cabinet make sure you have at least one intake and one exhaust fan otherwise you'll start to get warnings.

Also since it will heat up due to the cooling performance of the cabinet (depends which one you have) the stock fan will start to run at 5.4K RPM+ and make a jet engine noise.

If possible mind telling us what cabinet you have?

You also might be better off getting an i5 4570 or a 4440 and a inexpensive new mobo.
