I'll be honest, I'm new to building PC's. Not only that, but this is going to be my first Desktop computer since the days when XP was new.

I'd like feedback on this build I'm considering, criticism and advice are welcome, and in fact requested.

Including the monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc, I've set a maximum budget of $1500.

So I'm assuming that by recommending the unlocked CPU, you're recommending I should overclock? I was considering that, but wasn't sure if it was worth it, or if I trusted myself enough to try since I've never done if before. If that is why you recommend that CPU, I just would like to know if overclocking is a difficult process?

I'd make sure to do plenty of research beforehand of course, I'm just not sure if it's somewhere I should venture seeing as it's a whole new thing for me.

Okay, thank you! I just have one more question, how safe is overclocking? I've heard that it can up temperatures to the point that it can seriously lower your part's lifetime. Is that true? Or will it only apply if I'm doing something really intensive?
