Okay, so whenever I play a game like GTA 4 or Battlefield 3, I can feel the heat from the CPU at the top of the case, since it's near the top, and it's always cold when i'm not playing any games so i'm wondering if I should I get a new CPU fan so that It will not get as hot as it does when I play or should I just keep using the stock CPU fan.

Specs:

AMD FX-4300 Black Edition 3.8 Ghz

MSI R9 290X 4GB Ram DDR5

MSI 970A-G43

4GB Ram DDR3

750 Watt Thermaltake Power Supply

Yeah perhaps your assumptions are right..check ur CPU temps.. May be the thermal paste is dried and if its not and CPU is heating it is bcoz of the shit AMD stock coolers...i've faced the same problem...get a Cooler Master Hyper EVO

Heat rises. The r9-290x is a very powerful gpu and consequently will put out a lot if excess heat when pushed under games like bf3. If you are feeling that kind of heat through your case, it may be time to look into a better airflow solution as far as intake/exhaust goes

The PSU's fan is an INTAKE TO THE PSU, and air will exhaust out the back. If it is on the bottom, then it is likely not the source of the heat. Graphics cards, however, tend to produce a lot of radiant and "splash" heat in the case around them. Do you have good airflow through your case, e.g. front intake, rear exhaust?

Thats what i thought.. I hav a AMD FX 8320 whose stock coolers i had to replace after only a month... The shit coolers are worthless.. CPU temps go above 70C when playing BATMAN ARKHAM ORIGINS for 5 min!

There are a lot of 120mm tower-style coolers that offer similar performance to the often-parroted Hyper212 EVO; that one is NOT a bad cooler, but it is almost always a bang/buck Loser compared to competitors from Enermax, NZXT, Gammax, and Rosewill. Heck, their own Hyper212 Plus (previous version; little different) was only $20 with MIR on Newegg recently (may still be). I try to avoid recommending Losers, so be sure to check around before buying.
Edit: I also need to add that your motherboard is NOT an overclocking board; it appears on https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgN1D79Joo7tdE9xMUFlMEVWeFhuckJEVF9aMmtpUFE&gid=0 as having weak VRMs that may pop under load. Be careful.
