So i have windows 8 and i heard the yeti isnt compatible. Anyways, I have a lot of background noise and I was wondering which of these two mics would be the best choice for me. using this for voice overs and gaming

Solution
Get the Blue Microphone Yeti USB if you need a high quality usb voice over microphone for general use. It works exceptionally well in noisy environments. Don’t forget that it gives you that much needed zero latency monitoring every “sound engineer” is willing to die for.

Get the Audio Technica AT2020 USB for voice overs on controlled environment e.g. an acoustically treated room or a studio. It is very good for vocal auditions. Though it does not give that zero-latency monitoring feature, you can use it with a shock mount to get that oh-so-quite recording output.

In my opinion, and from experience, I would say its up to what you are doing.
If you are producing music or vocals, then the audio technica at2020 XLR version would better the blue yeti mic. Get a behringer mixer the go with it and you have the best quality money can buy. But if you are just doing podcast and game play commentaries. Then I would go with the Blue Yeti over the Audio technica at2020 USB version. You could get the XLR with mixer but it would cost more than the yeti.

All in all its up to what you do. If you do both podcast and music. Then you could go with the XLR version and do that. Its just from what I've used, the XLR with Mixer is amazing.
