Alright so I am running win 7 64 on an MSI G-45 Z77 board with an nvidia 560ti and a 460ti for physics ( I know not necessary). Anyway, the MSI board comes with on board audio from Realtek, After doing a clean install of windows I no longer had audio from my front ports or my rear ports. Yes, all drivers are up to date and running and yes my on-board audio is enabled in my BIOS. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling audio and video drivers as well as enabling and disabling on board audio. The headphones I am using have two 3.5mm plugs (one for audio and the other for a microphone) along with usb for power. Neither the headphones or the microphone show up in the audio manager. However, when using a USB only pair of headphones the audio works like a charm.
Any ideas?

The default device is "Realtek Digital Output". The only other option that is highlighted is "BBY LCD TV". With that selected I do get audio from my TV. There are seven greyed out options that all say "Digital Audio (HDMI)" and one greyed out option that says "Speakers" All of the greyed out listing say they are not plugged in even though my headphones are plugged in.
