Recently bought a Asus Xonar DS 7.1 PCI Sound Card to try to fix an issue with my microphone, slight buzzing in background, after buying this and plugging my audio splitter connected to my senheiser pc360 and my speakers i found there was a slight more refined buzzing, after trying to change the power supply the tower was connected to which seemed to slightly help, I then tried connecting my speakers to my sound card and the headset to on board audio therefore getting rid of the audio splitter, which seemed to get rid of the static, my question is whether there is a way to use on board sound for both my speakers and headset without using an audio jack and also why this problem even happens.

After doing some more research i found that if i had the audio splitter plugged into my speakers and headset and had them both turned on rather than having the speakers turned off when using the headset seemed to resolve the problem, even if the speakers were on 0 volume, this makes me think that it could be something to do with the audio cable being faulty, going to buy a new one to try to see if it fixes the problem.
