Which RAM is preferable--16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3L or 8GB (2x4GB) 1866MHz DDR3L ?

I am buying a new computer and have the option of purchasing either one for about the same price. I know more RAM is more speed, but so are more MHz's. Which wins?

I'd go the 16GB if your mobo can handle 8GB sticks, what little you lose in freq between 1600 and the 1866 is negligible compared to the 8 vs 16GB....It's a bit overkill if simply gaming, the 16GB that is, but will be handier for other things and with games using DRAM more effectively, the 16GB might fit in well with upcoming future games
