im running mac os x 10.7 and my launchpad is showing an extra menu for some reason. there are 3 menus now and all my apps are on the 2 and 3 menu. how do i fix this?
You should be able to drag icons between pages, or into folders, to organize them in the way you wish to. Personally, I just open the Launch Pad then type the first letter or two of the program name to narrow the display down to only a few icons.

i'm aware that i can do that but what i am asking is that there was a third page added mysteriously and all my apps moved to the second and third menus. what i want to know is how that third menu came about and how do i get rid of it?
Most likely you accidentally dragged one of the icons to the edge of the page. (Filling the page would also cause a new page to be created, but I'm guessing you would notice this.) To get rid of the third page just drag all the icons on it to one of the other pages.

all my apps are on the second and third page, the first page is blank. i know i didn't move any of the apps, but i'll try to move all my apps one page over and see if that gets rid of the extra blank page. is there a way i can move all my apps at once instead of doing it one at a time?
