Have a q6600 kentsfield for over 6-7 years, it came paired with a hp generic Asus IPIBL-LB
I have 8 gb of ddr2 memory and a radeon 7870 ghz edition and been playing Ok, however i have the oportunity to buy a really cheap motherboard, an NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI LT Motherboard so what im asking is, can i still be able to use my 8 gb of ddr2 memory? Can i just swap my processor q6600 to this mobo? And finally my radeon 7870 Will be compatible? The THING is i want to squeeze every bit of power of the proc (step 0) with overclock before upgrading to a new plataform because with my actual mb benicia i just simply cant thank you!

Solution
It should work as long as the case can fit an atx motherboard. The motherboard supports the q6600, supports 8Gb of DDR2(4x2G sticks), and has a 16x pci-e slot for the 7870.
Probably not.

You need to check the specs of the new motherboard - can it use ddr2 ram? will a q6600 fit and work?

A new motherboard should take any graphics card but the card will need to fit in the case and be able to get enough power from the power supply.

I am still running my 680i from 7+ years ago it is a string board and highly over clockable. I first paired it with a first gen core 2 duo which I later replaced with a qx6700. As it is an older architecture it can't handle the latest 8000 series core 2 * but a capable mobo none the less. You should be able to get clock speeds easily into the 3ghz range and there's plenty of room on the board to connect your card while it is still pci 1 there's plenty of bandwidth to not bog down the high end cards. I have an A01 not an LT but from the reading I've done they are fairly comparable.
