the western digital 1TB black or the western digital 1TB caviar blue?
or what hard drives do you recommend that are under $100?

Performance is mostly similar. Black has a better warranty than the Blue.

The Black usually almost always has more cache ram than the Blue which helps with speed.
The Black drives have a 5-year warranty and the Blue drives have a 2-year warranty.
