I'm about to buy this R9 280x but before I do i just want to ensure that my current PSU can support it.

Here is the GPU
http://www.ncix.com/detail/gigabyte-radeon-r9-280x-rev2-0-62-92028-1068.htm

Here is my current PSU
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182173

My main concern is that the min requirements I've seen for the 280x is 30 amps but my PSU outputs 28 amps.

Please let me know if I can get by with this PSU.

Thanks.

I think you can. It has the required 6 and 8 pin connector, and it actually can deliver 54a on the 12v. rails. (max of 28 on two rails)

What is unknown to me is the quality of the unit. Rosewill seems to have selectively iffy quality depending on the model.
Since the psu has been working for you, I say go ahead and use ti.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. I'll go ahead and buy it then and hopefully everything will be ok.
