Title says it all I want it to cool at a comfortable temperature and you know how overclockable the new i7 is and I want to get it to maybe if I can to 5.0 ghz. Don't worry if it can't cool it very well I'll get a corsair h100i
Thanks.

Solution
CM 212 Evo is a good budget cooler. Yes, it will cool that CPU. But definitely H100i (hydro series) beats this CPU Cooler (air cooler). For best air cooler you may consider Noctua NH-D14 or NH-U14S.
Early overclocking of the 4790K indicates that 5.0 is not very likely for 24/7 use.
Once you get past a comfortable 1.25-1.3v, heat rises dramatically, and even with the better DC heat tim, no amount of high end cooling will help.

The stock intel cooler gets you 4.0/4/4 boost.
How much more do you need?

Nothing wrong with the hyper212. If you want top air cooling, noctua or Phanteks with 140mm fans will do the job and be quieter in the process.
Is an extra multiplier worth $100 for a H100I?
Better to spend that on a stronger graphics card.
