Hi. I built a computer not to long ago, probably a couple months ago and everything is running fine. Except for sometime this weekend i was playing battlefield 4 while on raidcall and music playing on spotify. After a while my battlefield froze and my music was stuck in a loop (like a broken record on a record player) I couldn't hear anything on raidcall (assuming that freezes too). i can move my mouse but everything freezes. I didn't know if it was RAM, but it happens when i play high intensive game like bf4.
Here is my build.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($329.98 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($94.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($119.99 @ Microcenter)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($77.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($149.99 @ Best Buy)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ OutletPC)
Case: NZXT Phantom 630 (Black) ATX Full Tower Case ($167.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.98 @ OutletPC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ OutletPC)

(took my specs from my thread about my build, thats why prices are on there.)

Any help is appreciated.

I will probably test that. i just did a system restore to 13 days ago and it crashed before i even played a game. Also i found online that a lot of windows 8.1 users have a similar problem.

I did a memtest and it all said it passed. I just reinstalled windows on to my computer and it just happened again T.T

Entertain me here if you would (and if you have a desk or box fan handy) - take the side cover off the PC, put the fan blowing into the open side directly toward the motherboard (as much as possible), try running your games then. I'm suspecting some kind of heat related issue here, likely the VRM but possibly the ram
One of the issues when using water cooling is that airflow that normally goes over the ram and VRM come from the CPU's heat sink fan - with only a water block on top of the CPU, the airflow is lacking there so extra airflow is needed (there are a few aftermarket solutions if that turns out to be the issue here)

Actually i managed to get it. After doing a clean install of windows it froze again. This whole time ive been monitoring my usage on task manager and saw that my data harddrive was at 100%. I went in and changed the virtual memory and then i went into troubleshooter and had that automatically fix some problems. Its been about a day and a half and i was playing bf4 for a couple hours yesterday to be sure that it was fixed. Thanks for the reply though!
