Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 vs ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

Hello,

I was wondering which board is better for gaming. I will not be overclocking. Which board allows for better upgrading in the future. And any other advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Both are OK. The UD3 is a bit better - more power phases (better voltage control)

If you get the UD3, make sure it is rev 4.0

The early versions were a crapshoot.

As far as those two goes it boils down to personal preference and/or price. The Gigabyte won't OC any better with its 8+2 power phase design vs. the ASUS 6+2 digital. The feature set is almost identical. Construction is about the same quality-wise. Flip a coin basically.
