how to chose a good 4k monitor for gaming

Well what you essentially do is look for pixel rate, refresh rate, response speed, number of colors, size and one of the most importent - price

The offer for 4k is not that wide because 4k is a "new" technology. Personaly i would take 3 things into consideration:
1. price
2. size
3. brand (try to find the best brand that offers good waranty and has no issues with RMA)

Quite frankly you don't. 4k gaming is next to non-existent atm, plus the top graphics cards cant even run new games at 60 FPS.
I would wait for 4k gaming to widely exist before you purchase a 4k monitor exclusively for gaming, especially since the prices will drop massively by then.
