Depending on the game the 280x is probably a bit better overall than the GTX 770. It all depends on if you like/prefer either option.

Well the 280x is a bit cheaper, so that is what I'd select. Some others prefer Nvidia, so they would select the GTX 770. Either option is a good one, so pick which one plays your games the best and go with that one. I prefer to go with the best option for the least amount of $, which IMHO is the 280x.
