Which rams are compatible.

What's your motherboard?
Also why not just get a new pc?
I'm just assuming that this is for NAS or game server

If it is an Intel D850MV motherboard which googling seems to suggest, that board uses RDRAM (Rambus) which isn't made anymore.

Only option for memory is Amazon/Ebay or some similar site

Just asking. Are rams backwards compatible (can i stick ddr2 ram on ddr slot)

No they are not, DDR is 184Pin, DDR2 is 240Pin
