xfx hd 6670 display problem

hello everyone, i am having a major problem with my gpu hd 6670 ddr3, when i install the gpu and turn on the pc the screen frequently dies and comes backs to life, this happens randomly between 3 - 4 seconds of interval ..... any help would be useful ..

What monitor? make and model.

What output port on the hd 6670 and input port on the monitor are you using?

what temp is the 6670 getting to?

Is the monitor cable in good condition and screwed in tight?

my monitor is samsung 20 inch led syncmaster SA300 the wires are good my monitor only supports vga so i am using vga input and output well i cannot record the temp of the gpu because when i install my gpu and run my pc it almost becomes inaccessible

Try updating the monitor firmware as suggested. Also think about getting a better monitor.

Try another monitor.

but my monitor is fine and i am using it right now with no problem at all, my gpu is 3 yrs old btw. My cards warranty had lapsed and local stores don't fix gpu's

If your monitor is fine and gets no signal, and you connected it porperly with a good cable, then your hd 6670 is faulty.
