Hi, I'm a newbie at VLAN's. I inherited a 3 stack configuration with multiple VLAN's.
we needed a new VLAN so I created a VLAN say 192.168.241.0 (Interface 290) But I cannot ping the internet. I have a default route on the switch for 0.0.0.0 pointing to the sonicwall but I cannot ping the internet or the sonicwall. I can ping the gateway of 192.168.241.1 but thats it. Any ideas would be helpful. Switches are HP Procurve A5500

I am assuming from your description you put the 192.168.241.1 address on the switch itself and not the sonicwall...since you claim you can't ping sonicwall. You need to put a route in the sonicwall telling it to send the 192.168.241.0 network to the switch. If you have that then you likely need to add the 192.168.240.0 to the list of ip addresses the sonicwall is allowed to nat to the outside address.
