I wouldn't get one because they are not certified.

For a pc with a R9 290 in it you need 31A and 550W minimum.

See - http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

Get eg XFX650, Antec HCG 620M, Seasonic 620

Sadly, I already own this new. Is it still an "ok" to use? Will it affect me in any way? (I don't OC)

It only supports 220V input that is why it is not 80plus certified, otherwise corsair guarantee 80plus efficiency under load.

If you already have one, then use it. It will run the card fine if no further overclocking is done.
