Hey guys, I'm a noob at this but I was thinking about building a gaming computer from scratch. These parts what I have in mind:

Motherboard - MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard
RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
Processor - Intel Core i5 4670K
Graphics Card - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 OC 3GB
Hard Drives - Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Optical Drive - ASUS DRW-24D3ST 24x DVD Writer
SSD Card- Samsung 840 pro 128GB

My questions are:

1- Do you think these parts are compatible?
2- Which case would fit all these parts? I'd prefer mid tower cases, but if you think I need to go full tower? Then could you please refer to names and brands. That goes for the mid tower as well.
3- Could you please mention what type of CPU cooler, PSU and fans should I get.
4- Do I need anything else?

Thank you so much guys for your help.

I cant help you with all of it, as I dont have time right now to check compatability, but good case brands are Corsair and CoolerMaster.

Also, for CPU cooling, what games would you be playing and do you plan on overclocking?

Well I want to play all types of games. On the overclocking matter, maybe sometime in the future

you would not need to oc if you do not want to for gaming. just you dont need a z mobo or k cpu unless you are so you could save some money if you wanted.

If you decide to overclock, you are safer with water cooling your CPU depending on the amount you overclock it. Otherwise, you don't really need to overclock that CPU to play games.

But if I did get the z mobo and the k cpu without overclocking it, would it still be possible to play any game without any risk of damage?
