So guys, this is my SECOND Asus r9 280x, i RMA'd the first, and when this came i thought it was all good, then i start getting some artifacts, specially on league of legends. Other problemm, when i ran 3dmark for the first time, everything was cool, normal 7300 score, but now, i only get 6683? its a freaking 600 points difference, for fire strike is huge! and i got a small square of pixels after benchmarking that i also got in my first card that i RMA'd, probably artifacts. I tried with latest beta and non-beta drivers. What is happening, should i just switch for a GTX 770? cause i dont wanna wait another 2 weeks to get another faulty card...

3D Mark - Before: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/2958465
After: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/3303329

Huge difference... and by the way guys, wich gtx 770 should i get, and should i get 2gb, or 4gb vram version?
Thanks in advance... :)

Did you touch any of the settings on the R9 280X?
i would go with 770 2GB, if the 4GB is cheaper than get that.

Nope, never OC'ed or Underclocked, same as stock, same BIOS. Even if i get back the performance i dont want a faulty card with artifacts. The 770 2GB is 322 euros (ASUS), 333 euros (GIGABYTE) and 360 euros (MSI), if i go for 4GB its probably 360 euros, so it would be better to go for r9 290 if i was thinking in 770 4GB.
By the way, will 770 give me a nice performance next two or more years? Because i dont want to be buying a new GPU every year, and my mobo dont support SLI, my mobo is asus h87-pro, shouldve bought the Z87 but i was dumb... i really regret that...
My build in case you need information :
Intel I5-4570
Asus H87-PRO
G.Skill 8GB (2x 4GB) CL9 1600MHz
XFX 550W (probably will switch for a 650W from xfx sooner)
Samsung EVO 840 120GB
Seagate Barracuda 500GB
And the R9 280X of course.

Do you guys think this rig is good enough for next gen games with GTX 770 2GB instead of R9 280X?

A GTX 770 2GB may last two years but you may need to tone down some settings for upcoming titles in these years if you want some where near 60fps. For league of legends it is enough already since it is easy to run. You can run your GTX 770 on a XFX 550W.
If the price of the R9 290 non reference card is cheap, consider that as an option since it outperforms a GTX 770.

I know, i dont mind reducing a little AA or things like that, do you think that the R9 280X would last more time? or is the same thing for 1080P?
I know, but im selling mine XFX550W to a friend soon cause hes needing one, so im going to buy a 650W
But here in portugal i can get a GTX 770 2GB for 322 euros minimun, and a R9 290 400+ euros minimum.

a R9 280x will last the same with a GTX 770 at 1080p since they both perform similarly.
Depending on your ambient temperature, you can get the R9 290 but you may not like the temperature that the card may get, especially in warmer months.

Its super hot where i have my pc, like HOT in summer, and cold in winter.
Ill get the gtx 770 next week, thanks for everything Suztera :)  By the way, i got a video with the square artifacts on the browser (similar artifacts of the card that i RMA'd, if i show it to the sop where i bought the GPU they accept the trade right?)
Thanks again :)

It depends on what shop you bought it from. Ask them if you can swap your gpu for a GTX 770. Make sure you bring your invoice to prove you got it from there.
