Hi

I bought a custom built pc last Easter, I'm not too good with computers. I bought a sata hard drive and added it, but now neither of my monitors detects a video signal.

Here's exactly what I did, as my new hard drive was lower in the case, I removed the power cable from old drive and put it in the new one and put the unused power cable in the old one. And just inserted a data cable to the new one. That's all! I'm guessing I might have loosened something.

I've tried swapping rams, or just leaving in one at a time. Tried pushing in any cable I see into the motherboard.
The thing is I have this fan right in the middle, I don't know if there's anything underneath it maybe?!

I don't want to remove stuff to be honest, just adding a hard drive had turned into a nightmare.

Here's my spec;
Intel Core i5 3470 CPU
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Asus P8B75-M LX Motherboard
8GB DDR3 1333mhz (2x 4GB)
1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s 7200rpm Seagate HDD
24x DVD±RW DL S-ATA
Onboard Video
Onboard 7.1 Audio
Wireless 802.11N 300Mbps MIMO PCI card
CIT shadow ATX case

New with computers, so simple explanations please.

One last thing, I've not been able to find where the CPU is!
