I currently have 6GB of RAM on my pc, I plan to upgrade to 16GB. My MOBO supports dual channel. I have seen dual, and tri channel motherboards, but never a quad channel. Is quad channel a thing, and if so, is it needed to be able to run 4 RAM sticks or is dual channel able to? (I do have 4 slots for RAM)
