Third question here. It is said that the Vapor-X R9 290 4GB GDDR5 TRI-X OC performs better than the regular R9 290X. I would like to double check that as that is more expensive than the PowerColor 290X OC. Thanks in advance!

Solution
If the 290X is the reference then go for the Tri-X 290. You'll be able to overclock it to 290X levels anyway :) A 650W PSU will be plenty for a 290 but if 750W will give you peace of mind then buy that. Have fun with the 290, it's a good card!

If they are both OC'd to the same level, the 290X will be about 10% faster than the 290. However, if the 290X is a reference cooler (only has 1 fan, look at the image Leemon posted) go with the Tri-x 290. Can you post links to the cards you are interested in? What are the prices?

its the reference one, so should I go for the vapor-x 290? Also, I would need a min.750W supply right?
